FAQs

Why the Tower?

The Tower card’s meaning and traditional imagery can, for many, make it the scariest card in the deck. However, what this card truly represents is a time for necessary change. In my own experience in dealing with trauma, I found that not opening and allowing change only allows painful cycles to repeat themselves. The Tower is a sign of opportunity to move out from such a cycle, and ultimately can signal a brighter future.

The fear associated with this card often stems from the fact that change is never easy. While I do not see The Tower as an omen for bad things to happen, what it does mean is that some aspects of life that you have found safety in may actually be causing the cycle to continue, or may be ending, and moving into a new cycle could require some difficult decisions and actions.

I firmly believe that The Tower presents itself intentionally, and generally does so at momentous points of opportunity. Nobody wants their lives interrupted, but change is sometimes necessary to allow improvements to life, and often the most powerful lessons we can learn come from overcoming difficult times.

Can you tell me my future?

No. And I will refuse to attempt to do so if requested. If this is what you desire, I would suggest not booking an appointment with me.

Your future is entirely up to the free will of you and those you associate with and live around, and other environmental factors. My intention is to encourage a bridge between your subconscious and conscious energies to allow a dialogue. Readings can identify potential outcomes of the direction you are going or may choose to go, but those too are not to be confused with being a foreshadowing of any events yet to come.

Do you keep records?

No. I intentionally refuse to retain information about a client. It is my policy to not request any information except that which is needed to answer a question you ask as part of during or to make sense of a reading, and I do not keep any notes about spreads, draws, or anything said after the reading has concluded.

I welcome and encourage you to have a notebook with you during a reading to take notes of the messages, cards, and spreads, but I will not record a session nor send you any images from my devices as a part of this pledge to you.

Do you prefer I have a question to ask?

That is entirely up to you and what you wish to gain.

Most people who reach out to me for a reading typically feel drawn to do so, either for reasons they understand or not. I have worked with people across a wide spectrum of backgrounds and issues. I open myself energetically just as they open themselves to me to help bridge the connection to their subconscious.

As noted in the Booking page, if you are not sure of what to ask, I generally suggest the Full Reading, or an hour long walk-in. The full hour provides the additional time necessary to first address what you may need to focus on and then to draw for individual questions, suggestions, and options for the next stage of your journey.

How often would you suggest I have readings done?

The best way I know how to answer this is to try to wait 6 months before asking the same question twice. As part of a reading, I will often make suggestions and assign “homework”. While realizations may feel like a lightbulb turning on, healing and honest change take time. Giving yourself the necessary time to evaluate yourself between one reading and the next is one example of developing good habits and journeying on.

Many readers, myself included, do personal daily or weekly spreads that focus on a distinct short term designed to help keep on the path. If that is something you are interested in, and would like my assistance, the Short Reading option would be a good fit for that purpose. I also strongly advise developing a daily habit of journaling as a means to channel your subconscious on a consistent basis. As this would be a personal record for no other person’s eyes, this is a forum to help you be honest with yourself. There are many great online resources to help you get started with such a practice and doing so can also be a great way to self-enforce any changes you pledged.

Does this count as therapy?

In the medical sense, as in the case of a doctor’s orders, no. The time spent in a reading is understood as an open environment without any fear of judgement or attack. I have worked with people from all roads of life, and see all life as examples of the divine, and sometimes, just this type of forum can provide a needed calm, and might open areas like therapy could.

I stress that a reading will seek to provide perspective and may be a source of entertainment. A reading DOES NOT SUBSTITUTE for proper mental, physical, and/or emotional therapies, medications, or services. I AM NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL and will often suggest working with certified health professionals as part of your journey forward.

What I hope you find after a reading is a sense of direction. Too often we can find ourselves too focused on the energy pollution permeating this world, and that can derail the communication between the conscious (mind and heart) and the subconscious (“gut instinct” and spiritual guidance). By helping to reopen this communication, clients often find a sense of whole they had not realized was missing. That, along with grounding exercises AND HEALTHY PRACTICES, can feel like therapy and benefit the body as a whole.
